Our University Has Been Selected as a Joint Application and Research Center for Grassland, Pasture and Forage Crops in Turkey

With the decision taken by the Higher Education Executive Board at its meeting dated 15.09.2021, "Common Application and Research Center for Meadows, Pasture and Forage Crops in Rough Forage" was opened within Muş Alparslan University. Muş Alparslan University has taken another important step in agricultural studies with the Joint Application and Research Center for Grassland, Pasture and Forage Crops to be established.

The aim of the joint research center is to carry out scientific and technological R&D activities towards the objectives of the 11th Development Plan published by the Presidency and to cooperate with other universities in activities, as well as to identify special projects to be carried out on priority and guided research and development, to determine time and processes effectively. management, efficient use of human resources and physical infrastructure, and providing information and roadmaps on subjects such as the definition of goals and outputs.

It will be the focus of livestock studies

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Under the coordination of Fethi Ahmet Polat and Çukurova University Rector Prof. Dr. Meryem Tuncel, Rector of Dicle University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakoç and Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University Prof. Dr. The Joint Application and Research Center for Meadow, Pasture and Forage Crops in Roughage, which came to life with the participation and support of Yavuz Ünal as stakeholder rectors, will also be the focus of many studies in the field of animal husbandry. The joint signing ceremony with the participation of the rectors of the established center will be held in Ankara on October 5, 2021.

It will make a significant contribution to the industry

In the application and research center, which will operate in partnership with Muş Alparslan University, Çukurova University, Dicle University and Ondokuz Mayıs University, meadow-pasture and forage crops as the source of quality roughage, which is the most important need of the livestock sector, will be examined in company with R&D projects and scientific studies. Staff, project and financial support will also be provided by the Council of Higher Education, TUBITAK and the Strategy Budget Directorate.

Rector Polat, who underlined that the center established will have very valuable gains for our university, added that he wholeheartedly believes that thanks to this center, very valuable studies will emerge, especially for our province, region and country's animal husbandry.
